File a Right to Information request

Under the Right to Information Act 2005, every citizen may request information from the Commission. Responses are delivered within 30 days.

Your Right

What you can ask for

Under Section 6(1) of the Right to Information Act 2005, any citizen may request information from the Commission such as examination answer keys, marks breakdown, file notings, expenditure, recruitment rules, or any other document held by the Commission in accordance with the Act.

The Public Information Officer (PIO) is obligated to provide a response within 30 days of a valid request. If the information sought concerns the life or liberty of a person, the response must be provided within 48 hours.

If your request is denied or if you receive no response within the statutory timeline, you may file a first appeal with the First Appellate Authority within 30 days, and subsequently a second appeal with the Goa State Information Commission.
